About Bondville, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Bondville, Illinois is a small Champaign County, Illinois village. As of 2010, only about 450 people lived here. Bondville is situated about two miles west of Champaign, located at the intersection of County Road 29 and Illinois Route 10. Interstate 72 also passes through the community, with Seymour situated about three miles to the west, making travel convenient for Bondville locals.

The small community of Bondville isn’t home to any major attractions. A few local businesses are based here, including Four Seasons Sunrooms, Phoenix Insulation, and Harmon Excavating, but major destinations are located in Champaign and Urbana. The presence of the University of Illinois brings numerous sporting events and theatrical productions to the area, especially at the Virginia Theatre or the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Urbana is home to many outdoor recreational hotspots, including the Anita Purves Nature Center and the Crystal Lake Park.

The climate in Bondville and the surrounding region is humid continental. The area will experience hot, humid summer months with high temperatures into the mid-80s during July and August. Severe storms with lightning, hail, and even tornadoes are common throughout the season, so residents need to invest in proper central air conditioning at home. The right system – especially an Energy Star unit with a high SEER rating – will ensure residents stay comfortable regardless of what Mother Nature presents.

Winters in the region are cold, although snowfall is lighter than more northern parts of the state. Overnight lows drop into the low-20s, and these frigid temperatures make conditions dangerous both indoors and outdoors. The right gas or electric furnace will keep indoor temperatures comfortable while preventing pipes from freeze-related damaged. A high-efficiency furnace with a high AFUE rating will also lower utility costs and improve airflow, all while lasting much longer than traditional heating systems.
